John Fonder, DMD

Dr. John Fonder hails from northern Illinois, having received his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Western Illinois University. He is married to Ashley and has two twin daughters, Sarah and Allison. He is preceded in the dentistry profession by his father, Dr. A.C. Fonder, a general dentist and pioneer in the fields of maxillofacial prosthetics and TMD therapy. Inspired by his father’s achievements, Dr. Fonder earned his own dental degree from Oral Roberts University and has proudly served the Tulsa area since 1985. It is his personal goal as a dentist to create a friendly and caring environment within his practice and deliver quality dental care. He has received the C.V. Mosby award in recognition of his hard effort and professionalism.

Wendy - Dental Hygienist

Wendy has served as the hygienist at Midtown Dental Arts since 1999. She loves to build trusting relationships with her patients,making sure they are comfortable, and well taken care of. Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband Nick and their two boys Tucker and Reese. In her spare time,Wendy enjoys traveling,fishing,reading and loving on her dogs.

Channing - Office Manager

Channing is the office manager at Midtown Dental Arts. She started working with Dr. Fonder in 2006. She works hard organizing the operation of the office for our dentist, dental team, and patients. To her, Midtown Dental Arts feels like home. When not managing the day to day flow of the office, Channing enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boxer dogs.

Daniela - Front Office

Daniela joined our dental team in 2022 and has been a great addition to the front office. She graduated from Union High School in 2018 and shortly after was introduced to the dental world through Orthodontics which then led her to General Dentistry. She enjoys helping patients’ with their insurance,coordinating treatment,and overseeing our social media outlets to help reach more people. When she isn’t at the office Daniela loves to listen to music, spend time with her big family and play with her dog Lucky.

Valerie - Lead Dental Assistant

Valerie is the lead dental assistant at Midtown Dental Arts. Valerie has been working with Dr. Fonder since 2005. She grew up in Tulsa and received her Bachelor’s degree from NSU IN 1993 for Business Management. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two fur babies. She helps her husband operate his business as a distributor for diecast cars (Hotwheels).

Maddie - Dental Assistant

Maddie became a part of our dental family in 2023. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 2019 while attending Tulsa Technology Center for her dental license.When she isn’t at the office assisting Dr.Fonder and caring for patients during procedures, she likes to spend time admiring art work as well as spending time with her Netherland Dwarf Bunny named Bynki.

Candice - Dental Hygiene Assistant

Candice has been a part of our team since 2015 as a Dental Hygiene Assistant. She graduated from Community Care College and got her Dental Assisting Certificate in 2008. She contributes to the success of the office by preparing patients for hygiene visits,taking their required radiographs,scheduling them for their return appointments and making sure they go through their visits with ease. When she isn’t assisting at the office she devotes her free time to her three children Jordan,Joshua,Neveah, going to the gym,being outdoors,and spending time with her fur babies.

J.J. - Therapy Cat

J.J became a working member of our team in 2015. He was just a stray kitten that would sneak in and hangout in our waiting area. He quickly made himself at home. Shortly after, patients started to request to see him during their visits. He soothes our patients by sitting on their lap during long procedures. His tranquil spirit around all the loud dental equipment then convinced us to get him certified as a therapy animal.
